Well looking at YSL beauty shots ( Not like I could afford retail price of YSL right now ha!) Many who know me, know that I have a huge knack for red, plums, burgundy, dark red lipsticks and nail polish. And well YSL this season was like cotton candy on a stick. Just pure love everything about the collection, and the beauty. I really admired the natural and dramatic combination of the makeup. Bleached eyebrows, naked eyes and a dramatic lip-color/lip-gloss to put an emphasis on the lips. Of the foundation McGrath used Cover Girl's new NatureLuxe Foundation, and on the eyes the only thing used was Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream, for that glossy clean look.
The nail polish used at the show was LA LAQUE Long lasting nail Lacquer in
"Extreme Purple"
For the lips it looked like a glossy burgundy color. Looking at the YSL lipsticks and I must say Rouge Pur Couture In Belle De Rose and Noir Laque are my favorites! Also Rouge Volupte in Forbidden Burgundy, Red Taboo and Exqusite Plum. Any of these lip colors could serve as inspiration for the YSL SS11 luscious lips.
